The New Year Music Festival in Gstaad celebrates its 10th anniversary this year – Saturday 26 December 2015 – Saturday 9 January 2016 – click here for the one page pdf outline of the programme – GSTAAD.CAROLINE.concerts
On Tuesday 8 December 2015 at the Monaco Yacht Club the festival begins the music with a performance of “Enoch Arden” a melodrama for narrator and piano, written in 1897 by Richard Strauss to the words of the 1864 poem of the same name by Alfred, Lord Tennyson. Narrator Laetitia Noyon, piano Caroline Haffner.
Caroline plays in three concerts at the New Year Music Festival in Gstaad:
SATURDAY 26 December 2015 – Opening evening of the festival – Grand Hotel Park Gstaad
19.00 – WORLD PREMIER – Yves Prin’s “FANTAISIE HAFFNER” sur des thèmes de Mozart
MONDAY 28 December 2015 – Lauenen Church – Brahms “Die schöne Magelone”
18.30 – Marthe Keller, récitante (auf Deutsch) with Edwin Crossley-Mercer, baritone, Caroline Haffner, piano.
TUESDAY 5 January 2016 – Grand Hotel Park Gstaad to benefit the “Maria Callas Competition for Voice & Piano”
19.00 – “Hommage to Maria Callas” – Anna Kasyan, soprano, Caroline Haffner, piano – with the support of the “Friends of La Scala” and the “Concours International de Belcanto Vincenzo Bellini.”
